Henrik Tantau was born in 1971. He has practised as a lawyer since 2001, as an accredited specialist for tax law since 2005 and as an accredited specialist for criminal law since 2012.

He began his legal studies in Hamburg.

After completing his training in Hamburg and Lübeck, he worked as a lawyer for a regional law firm. In 2002 he transferred to the field of tax law and bancruptcy law and was a senior associate at the firm Ehler, Ermer & Partner in Flensburg until 2008.

In 2008 he founded the law firm Tantau & Tantau Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten together with Heinrich Tantau. Since 2014 he is practicing with TANTAU RECHTSANWALT FACHANWALT in a new office in Elmshorn.

Henrik Tantau has many years of forensic experience as a defence lawyer in all areas of criminal law, especially in tax evasion/fraud and juvinile law.

At TANTAU RECHTSANWALT FACHANWALT Henrik Tantau advises companies and individuals. Henrik Tantau has defended clients in enforcement actions and investigations brought on by law enforcement agencies.

Henrik Tantau serves as a lecturer in criminal law for the junior lawyer courses run by the district courts in Itzehoe, Kiel and Lübeck.

He is a member of the German bar association, the German criminal law and tax law working groups, the Itzehoe bar association and the Schleswig-Holstein chamber of lawyers.

Henrik Tantau is married with two kids and lives in Hamburg.
